Wanted to Love

I’m so sad about this suit. I did a lot of research and ultimately decided on this brand as it seemed more targeted for pregnancy postpartum. It seemed ok out of packaging. I’ve only worn it twice and this is where I noticed problems. I’m 5’5” pre pregnancy 130lbs. Currently 23 weeks pregnant and just under 140lbs. My bump isn’t huge, but I couldn’t see wearing it bigger. It does in fact dig into my skin around the leg holes. I’m usually all about a cheeky fit, but videos I watched stated you could pull the material for more coverage and it would stay. This is not the case for me at all. I wanted a family friendly option suit. The material is not comfortable to me like advertised. Skin is pretty sensitive while pregnant and it feels scratchy which is not fun in particularly sensitive areas like the your boobs! Lastly the crotch area.. usually my swimsuits are lined in that area or the fabric is more forgiving? This has the exposed thick seam right on your crotch which is super uncomfortable. I really don’t know how to say this PG, but because the area is thinner and not lined this will show any extra fluid that naturally occurs in pregnancy very obviously. I was NOT expecting this. I’m truly so sad. I was very excited for this suit and felt confident with all the praise I read. It’s an expensive suit, there’s no way to return, and now I just don’t have a suit. I did my part and read all the reviews, but this did not work out for me.

Not for me

I am always hesitant when it comes to "one size fits all" because there is NO WAY that is possible. As someone who is only 5'3 and pre-pregnancy 118, I hoped the sides would fit better than some of the other one pieces I have tried, but it unfortunately was the same: Tight leg holes that squish your love handles. The material of the suit as a whole is actually quite comfortable, but the leg holes just fit weird and are not flattering. I feel like it is pretty cheeky in the back (I dont have a problem with this), but don't know how this would fit someone with a larger backside than me. It also squished down your boobs closer to your belly and made me feel like a blob. I think I'll just stick to 2 pieces

Fabric Quality Issue

I do love the swimsuit but after 2 times wearing the suit it has a run in it and is see through in 2 spots. I wish it would have held up better for the price. I haven’t been able to find an email to contact them.

Hi there Bri!
We've already reached out over email to get this one sorted for you.
Warmest,
Ella

Update: Amazing Customer Service!!!

After I wrote the review below I was contacted right away about my issue. The owner emailed me personally and offered to send a replacement suit right away as long as I sent the defected one back. She also mentioned that this is very rare and they do a very thorough fabric check on all suits. Either way they definitely helped me out and restored my confidence in the brand. It truly is a great suit and still seems to be hanging in there even with a 3rd pregnancy 32 week twin belly, haha!! Thank you for giving me something I can feel confident and cute in at the pool. I always get compliments. Love the color as well!

Well, I wore it twice and it's definitely see through. I will try some pads from other things but I don't really see how those will stay in place while swimming. I also have an almost hole in the side and have no idea how that could have happened. It's as if I have worn this suit for over a year and it's brand new. It also took about a month to arrive. Not a fan after the price I paid, kind of sad. Pregnant with twins and just want to something to feel good in. Great color and I really liked it when I first tried it on, hence the two stars.

Hi Claire - Ella the founder of Maris & Sol here. So Sorry this has been your experience - absolutely not what we aim for. Looking at this photo - it looks like something has happened to the material here. We have a very strict QA process but every now and again something slips through - this material looks faulty - this is not how the fabric performs normally.
I'd like to get you a replacement suit to fix this. I'll be in touch privately to rectify this. Thank you for your feedback. Ella

The quality is top tier!!!!

This swim is UNREAL! The thickness and texture are better than Hunza. The stretch is amazing and doesn’t become see through when stretched. I was having the hardest time finding a swimsuit that was flattering and made me feel good and this one I feel so confident in. Highly recommend Maris & Sol! Cannot wait to see more from this brand.

Fits me as 34weeks pregnant!

Fits my growing belly. Able to still keep a modest seat coverage. Happy to invest in pieces that will continue to fit postpartum!

Naww you look FAB Mackeznie! Congratulations! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback AND a photo! Hope it serves you for reasons to come ❤️

Love the suit, super practical for family time.

As an active mom in the summer, this is a great swimsuit that has good coverage that you need for water time fun with the family. Also, I like how it looks great as a top with a pair of shorts or pants so you can run into stores or cafes and not feel over exposed. A great buy and would love to buy it in more colors!

Comfy, perfect for changing body

I love this swimsuit because my body changes a lot depending on so many factors and I feel like I finally have a suit that I don’t feel like I’m suffocating. It’s stretchy, comfy and I feel so cute in it. The material is so soft and I LOVE this color. Highly recommend.

Got in cornflower blue and it's my FAVE!

Totally in love with this blue colour! 😍😍 And I might have to get another one! So comfortable. Super flattering and doesn't give me a wedgie when I walk!!
I do wish I could wear it in the hot tub 🙂‍↕️ but I get it's a special fabric so they tell you not too! Can't have it all 🤷‍♀️!

I’m 18 weeks and it was too small. I’m 5’6” and it was too short. Not super comfortable and not super stretchy. Mine was pretty stiff.
